Different processes have different requirements for sensors for an accurate and reliable measurement. Being in contact with the media is the most important one. In order to meet the different requirements, Hamilton has developed various kinds of housings and armatures: static, retractable, pressurizable, pneumatic, manual, weld-in and hygienic sockets.

No matter if the housing is needed for a pipe or a vessel, the right one for each application can be found.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Static

All Hamilton General Use Housings/Armatures have an integrated electrode protection design to prevent possible damage of the electrode membrane due to solid components in the sample.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Retractable

These armatures/housings allow the user to install maintenance-free electrodes in critical processes. The main advantage of this design is that the sensor can be withdrawn while the process is running (i.e. for cleaning, calibration or even to replace the electrode), without interrupting the process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Pressurizable

Armatures suitable for applications where high accuracy or long-term stability is required in conjunction with liquid electrolyte electrodes. Such electrodes must be pressurized to ensure flow of the electrolyte solution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Flow Cells

FlowCells are flow-through armatures. They can be used in all cases where pH or oxygen or even both must be reliably measure in ion-weak media including coolan piping in power generation stations.

The sample is fed into the armature from the bottom at a low flow speed, and out of the armature again at the side.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Hygienic Sockets

The Hygienic Socket with its space saving design and simple sterilization is ideal for weld-in to fermenters or small pipes. The advantages are also numerous for many other applications in tanks or pipes for water treatment and in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

It is designed for 120 mm sensors and develped to ease installation and maintenance, improve cleanability and increase human safety. Two "Live Guard" openings provide indication of sealing failures. The sensor insertion depth can be varied for DO sensors by using the Hamilton DO Adapter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Safety Sockets

The Safety Sockets are hygienic weld-in sockets suitable for hygienic armatures like the FlexiFit Bio. They are available for 3 different o-ring positions to cover different standards. Furthermore you can choose between two kinds of stainless steel and two different angles.

The Safety Socket narrows at the o-ring positions and it seals only if the o-ring of the armature is exactly at the right place. If the process is under pressure, a dripping process medium can be a strong hint that the armature should not be loosened entirely. Therefore the Safety Socket is suited for a wide variety of applications and installations.
